  4. This covering readme file of "xpr_demo.zip" informs you about our proof reader 
  5. "XProofer", a WINDOWS NT/95 tool for the correction of spelling errors and 
  6. the detection of unbalanced citations or brackets.

  8. The demonstration version is supplied with the American English language.
  9. An non-restricted version is available for nearly any West-European language.
  10.  
  11. Keywords describing XProofer's behavior are: language specific, sensitive for
  12. Text and OCR errors,  close suggestions with an adjustable fuzzy distance, 
  13. checks for abbreviations, intelligent history usage, huge lexicons, supporting 
  14. French and Italian elisions, checks capital letter usage for German and other
  15. languages, includes the Nordic collating sequence, visual error detection of 
  16. unbalanced citations.
  17. During usage XProofer tunes itself to its user.
